It is the sixth game of the Gentle series Man X created by Capcom. It is the first one that there did not direct the creator of the series, Keiji Inafune.
The version for PlayStation was published in 2001 in the United States and in Singapore in 2007. The game also was published for PC in 2003, but only in Asia. Also it appeared as part of Gentle Man X Collection for Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2.
